1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Ritualry (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Ritualry is a mobile application for iOS devices that helps users build consistent daily habits through AI-generated guided ritual routines, including:

• Creating personalized ritual scripts with AI-driven step-by-step guidance
• Running timed rituals with multiple personality styles (Friendly Coach, Formal Butler, Minimalist, Ancient Sage, Deadpan Comedian)
• Tracking completion streaks and ritual history
• Scheduling smart reminders for daily rituals
• Remixing and customizing ritual content

The App may offer optional Premium features (including additional AI generations, extra personality styles, and multiple active rituals). Availability may vary by region and may change over time.

3. Premium Subscriptions & Purchases

Some features require an auto-renewable subscription purchased through the Apple App Store ("Premium").

• Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage/cancel: You can manage and cancel subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Entitlements: We may use a third-party service provider (RevenueCat) to manage subscription status and entitlements.

Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies.

4. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal use, subject to these Terms.

You may NOT:

• Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Rent, lease, sell, or sublicense the App
• Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Accurate Input: Ensuring information you enter for ritual creation (preferences, categories, custom names) is appropriate and not harmful.
• Device Security: Securing your iOS device with a passcode to protect your ritual data.
• Health Decisions: Ritualry is a habit and routine tool only, not a medical or health application. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.

6. AI-Generated Content

Ritualry uses AI to generate ritual scripts, step instructions, and narration text. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated content may vary across sessions and is not guaranteed to be identical upon regeneration.
• AI outputs are for personal motivation and habit-building purposes only; they do not constitute professional advice (medical, psychological, fitness, or otherwise).
• You are responsible for evaluating the suitability of generated content for your circumstances.

Health Disclaimer: For health-related ritual categories (e.g., vitamins, medication), the app displays a disclaimer that content is not medical advice. Always follow your doctor's instructions.

7. Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all data you create in the App, including rituals, logs, notes, and completion records. We do not claim any rights to your data.

Some optional features require network processing (AI generation and subscription management). See the Privacy Policy for details on what data is processed off-device.

8. Privacy

Our collection and use of information is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the App, you consent to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
• That the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure
• That defects will be corrected
• That reminders will be delivered (notification delivery depends on iOS system settings and device state)
• That AI-generated ritual content will achieve any specific personal outcome, habit, or health result

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
• We are not liable for missed habit goals or personal outcomes attributable to reminder failures
• We are not liable for any loss of ritual data or streak records
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any)

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Any content you submit or generate through the App

12. Updates and Modifications

We may update the App to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. Updates are provided through the Apple App Store.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the App or any feature at any time.

13. Termination

You may terminate by uninstalling the App. We may terminate your license if you violate these Terms.

Upon termination, you should delete all copies of the App from your devices.

14. Apple App Store Terms

Your use of the App is also subject to the Apple App Store Terms of Service. Apple is not responsible for the App, its content, maintenance, support, or any claims related to it.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted here with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
